Embark on a Photography Adventure in the Breathtaking Tarkine Wilderness

The Tarkine Wilderness is an undiscovered gem in the wild west coast of Tasmania, a place so stunning and pristine that it feels like stepping into another world. Untouched, unspoiled, and teeming with extraordinary macro landscapes, this is a region that must be seen to be believed. From the moss-covered rainforests to the wild and rugged coastlines, the Tarkine is a photographer's paradise.

This vast, 447,000-hectare wilderness encompasses untamed rivers, coastal heathlands, ancient cave systems, and some of Tasmania's most mesmerizing macro photography opportunities—perfect for those passionate about capturing nature’s minute details. Think fungi, lichen, and moss, as well as the tiny ecosystems that thrive beneath the forest floor and the weathered surfaces of fallen branches. Every step you take is an invitation to discover a new world of intricate beauty.

What Makes This Workshop Special?

For 4 nights and 5 days, we will immerse ourselves in the wild heart of the Tarkine, staying at the comfortable Tall Timbers Accommodation in Smithton, just moments away from this extraordinary wilderness. This will give us quick and easy access to a range of locations within the Tarkine, allowing us to photograph this breathtaking region in all its seasonal glory.
