The Tarkine Wilderness is a place unlike any other. Untouched by time, this vast region on Tasmania's wild west coast offers a mesmerizing mix of ancient rainforests, pristine rivers, rugged sand dunes, and dramatic coastal heathlands. It’s nature at its rawest and most beautiful, and it’s just waiting for you to capture its magic.

With over 447,000 hectares of wilderness to explore, we’ll venture through this extraordinary landscape, photographing some of Australia’s most iconic and breathtaking locations, including:

What You Can Expect

Over 5 days and 4 nights, you’ll have the chance to fully immerse yourself in the Tarkine’s extraordinary beauty. Our base will be the lovely Tall Timbers Accommodation in Smithton, located just minutes from the heart of the Tarkine. This comfortable and luxurious setting will allow us quick access to all the incredible photo spots in the region.

This workshop is designed for all skill levels, whether you're a beginner looking to improve your landscape photography or an advanced photographer wanting to refine your craft. You’ll receive comprehensive tuition on:

• Camera settings and basic landscape techniques
• Advanced tips for capturing dramatic lighting and composition
• Editing and post-processing advice to elevate your images

By the end of the tour, you’ll walk away with stunning images and a wealth of new skills that you can apply to any landscape you photograph.

What’s Included:

• Accommodation: Enjoy a single room (shared available upon request) at Tall Timbers in Smithton – just minutes from the Tarkine!
• Private Transfers: All transport to and from the workshop from Launceston Airport/Hotels.
• Meals: All meals included except lunch on Day 1 and Day 5.

Fitness Level:

This tour requires a low to moderate fitness level. Some walking on gravel paths and uneven terrain will be involved, but nothing too strenuous.
