Experience the Untamed Wild Southwest of Tasmania – Photography Adventure

📸 Pack your camera, and join us for an unforgettable 3-day, 2-night photography tour deep into the pristine wilderness of Tasmania's Southwest. This is your chance to capture one of the most remote and untouched landscapes on earth, Bathurst Harbour and Melaleuca, a true hidden gem of Tasmania.

How We Get There:

Your journey begins with a private flight from Hobart, as we soar through Tasmania’s breathtaking wilderness. We’ll board a twin-engine Islander aircraft and fly directly to Melaleuca, one of the most inaccessible and awe-inspiring locations on the planet. Along the way, prepare to have your camera locked and loaded—because you'll want to capture the grandeur of iconic landmarks such as Federation Peak, the Western Arthur Range, Precipitous Bluff, and the rugged southern coastline.

This is not just a photography trip, it’s an adventure in the sky as we get a bird’s eye view of some of the wildest and most remote landscapes Tasmania has to offer.

Once We Arrive – Welcome to Melaleuca:

Nestled deep within the Bathurst Harbour Marine Reserve, a vast, untouched wilderness over 4500 sq. km in size, this location is three times the size of Sydney Harbour and is the ultimate destination for photographers and nature enthusiasts alike.

  • Wildlife: Encounter the rare and endangered Orange-Bellied Parrot, take in the stunning Aboriginal middens and caves, and explore the pristine waterways by boat.
  • Landscapes: From towering mountains and glaciers to remote beaches and ancient Huon Pine forests, the landscape here is otherworldly. Capture every scene from the untouched Celery Top Islands to the Old River and beyond.

During our stay, you’ll have the chance to:

  • Hike easy to moderate trails through Huon Pine forests.
  • Explore untouched beaches, where you can photograph the raw beauty of this pristine wilderness.
  • Capture wildlife in its natural habitat.
  • Optionally, hike to a mountain peak for panoramic views or take a boat trip through the Bathurst Harbour.
